West Sussex County Council
For larger unusable items e.g. electricals/ furniture, garden rubbish and other things that cannot be collected with your normal weekly rubbish they can be taken to the County Council's Civic Amenity Site. Furniture Reuse Network (FRN)

Association of Charity Shops (ACS)
ACS is the only member organisation dedicated to supporting charities who run shops as part of their fundraising activities. By pooling expertise and joining forces to promote common interests, they help members to operate their shops as effectively as possible. DEFRA - Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs - Waste Strategy Division is responsible for the Waste Strategy; operation of the Landfill Directive and the Landfill Tax; local authority waste funding; management, minimisation, recovery, re-use and recycling of waste. Waste Management Division is responsible for implementation of the EC framework directive on waste, for waste management licensing, international waste shipments, hazardous waste and for producer responsibility.

Resource Bank - The Resource Bank is the place to advertise your "excess resources" or your resource requirements, or just to browse to see what may be of use to you. It is an information exchange to enable you to make contact with companies who may be able to use your waste and so reduce your disposal costs, or to fulfil your raw material requirements. This service will link you to available waste markets for reuse, repair, recycling and reprocessing. This service is part of the egeneration - a site that offers businesses in West Sussex the opportunity to become more sustainable ad at the same time save money. It offers a one-stop shop for best practice and information and local support on becoming a sustainable business.

Crawley Waste Exchange - A FREE on-line exchange created to redirect reusable commercial and domestic items and materials away from being landfilled. Add items that you are either giving away or selling and add or browse the wanted listings/photos by joining the community of reusers/recyclers. Site is managed by TPM Services.

TPM Services - Registered waste carrier and recycler for commercial and domestic waste in Crawley and surrounding areas. Industrial services include 'special' and 'hazardous' waste. Commercial customers are asked to separate waste by type (metal, wood, plastic etc). Commercial and domestic fridges and freezers incur an extra charge due to the cost of safe disposal of CFC's.
