REUSE AT HOME
As an individual you can also help promote Reuse at Home by:
- Donating unwanted items to local projects or charity shops
- Get milk delivered in glass bottles
- Donating your old spectacles to chairty
- Reusing envelopes by using 'reusable envelope labels'
- Using 'cotton nappies' - see babies section
- Using refillable printer ink cartridges and sending off empty cartridges to be reused
- Using 'rechargeable' batteries
- Giving something that you no longer use to someone that can use it - maybe use eBay where you can buy and sell unwanted items locally, nationally and globally. Or through your local newspapers. Some papers allow you to place a free advert. Another option is to have a stall at a local car boot sale or use Crawley's waste exchange - see Links for further details.
